FAQs

Q: How does your monthly Board Art Contest work?

A: It's easy! Just get creative and show off your sickest board art -- show us what makes you you. It can be on a surfboard, skateboard, snowboard or even on paper using our board template.

STEP 1:
Take a high quality photo of a board you've already grommed. (vertical with a neutral background)
- or -
Print out our Board Template...and grom it! Use whatever medium you want (paint, pens, pencils, Photoshop, etc). Don't hold back on your design, but keep it clean – nothing inappropriate will be accepted.

STEP 2:
Once you have your entry ready, login to your Grom-It Society account at GROM-IT.com. If you don't have an account, register for one so that we can approve your contest entries. (Entries cannot be submitted without a free GROM-IT Society account).

Each month the WINNER -- the entry with the most votes -- gets a sick package of GROM-IT gear.

Three times a year we hold a Board Art Final for our last four Monthly Board Art Contest Winners. This is your chance to win a custom-shaped shortboard from Orion Surfboards!

Voting takes place here on GROM-IT.COM AND our Instagram account (@grom_it). Votes are tallied between votes here on our website and likes + comments for your entry on our Instagram account. Participants will be notified in advance prior to the Finals round launching so you can get those votes rolling in!

Instagram LIKES & COMMENTS and Twitter RETWEETS on your post = votes for your entry. It's that simple! (Do not spam entries posted to our Instagram with fake, spam and/or one letter comments, this will get your entry disqualified).

Visit GROM-IT.COM throughout the month to see where your entry stands. Be sure to share your entry with your friends and family to help increase your votes too.

And remember, be sure you've completed filling out your GROM-IT Society profile and included your Twitter and/or Instagram usernames so we know who you are, where to send your package if you win, and also so we can tag you in any posts containing your entry made to our GROM-IT social media accounts.

Lastly, SPREAD THE WORD to your friends and family to gain votes for your entry...email them a link to GROM-IT.com, post it on Twitter or Facebook, Snapchat or Instagram, whatever it takes!

Please note: All entries' vote totals are adjusted periodically throughout the month to remove any instances of spam/bot votes, or any clear instances of cheating, as this is a violation of our Contest Rules (see below). We do this in an effort to keep the playing field level and so that the contest is fair for everyone participating.

ANYONE SUSPECTED OF CHEATING IN ANY WAY WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

Q: What are your Contest Rules for Monthly Board Art contests and the Board Art Final?

A: You must be a member of the GROM-IT Society. (Register here, it's free)

You must be at least 14 years of age.

You must agree to the Terms of Service during registering for a free GROM-IT Society account in order to win any of our contests.

All content will be monitored. If you submit anything that is considered rude, crude or inappropriate it will be removed and you will be given a warning. After two warnings, you will be permanently banned from the site.

If your age is in question and you win any contest, you may be asked to provide proof of your age to receive the prize (i.e. legal proof of age/identification, proof of age/identification with notarized statement from your legal guardian, etc).

Also, cheating sucks so just be cool, don't cheat! Just have fun! There's really nothing here worth stealing, but it's definitely worth earning.

However, for those of you who cannot resist the temptation to win at all costs (including cheating), please know that the system is set up to detect suspicious activity with regard to voting. Should you be caught cheating, your entry will be disqualified and you will be given a warning. If you are caught cheating again, you will be banned from the site.

With the above in mind, do understand that all entries' vote totals are adjusted periodically throughout the month to remove any instances of spam/bot votes, or any clear instances of cheating, as this is a violation of our Contest Rules. We do this in an effort to keep the playing field level and so that the contest is fair for everyone participating.

Wishing you all well, with good vibes! Thanks for participating!

*Please note: The "custom-shaped board" prize is limited to one shortboard only. No longboards or stand-up paddleboards will be awarded. Winner will be responsible for all shipping charges beyond $50.

Q: Do you ship orders international?

A: Yes we do!
